Double Sided Walnut Table Book Stand with Reading Slide

Elegant walnut and crotch walnut veneered double sided book carrier with scrolling lyre shaped supports, the central and end panels filled with a series of finely turned spindles. Drawer to the base with hinged reading slide. Patinated cast brass handles to the top and also to the drawer and slide. After an original of c.1810.
